Lawns and edges
Routine mowing and edging to help keep outdoor areas maintained.
Support at Home gardening
Arrange aged care gardening across Wollongong and the Illawarra, including requests coordinated through Support at Home services.
What you can request
A short enquiry can come from the older person, family, representative, care partner or registered aged care provider. We first review the essential light gardening requirement and local capacity, then confirm the provider and service arrangements needed.
Wollongong and Illawarra requests can be coordinated with the older person, family or registered provider once the authorised gardening scope and local schedule are clear.
The Support at Home program is accessed through My Aged Care. Eligible gardening sits under Home maintenance and repairs – Gardening and is intended to support safety and access. It can include essential light mowing, pruning or yard clearance, but not landscaping, tree removal or purely cosmetic gardening. Client contributions may apply, and funded work must be arranged through a registered aged care provider; Mercando does not present itself as My Aged Care approved.
Routine mowing and edging to help keep outdoor areas maintained.
Pruning, essential upkeep and yard clearance based on the assessed and authorised scope.
Garden tidy-up priorities that support access and reduce avoidable outdoor obstacles.
Recurring visits can be requested where authorisation and local capacity allow.

Useful before you enquire
Essential light gardening may be included where it supports assessed safety or access needs and is authorised in the support plan. The registered provider or care partner should confirm eligibility, scope and client contributions.
CHSP continues separately during the transition to Support at Home. A CHSP provider should confirm whether home maintenance or essential gardening is available under the person’s service arrangement.
Yes. The first enquiry can come from the older person or someone assisting them.
No. We begin with the location, gardening requirement and contact pathway. Further information is requested only when needed to progress an available option.

Great service by Nicholas. Whilst the job is not yet done ... chances are I will be using their service on an ongoing basis. I like the fact they are hiring people with a disability. Well done.
